CSK Team for IPL 2026:- Chennai Super Kings (CSK) added nine new players to their squad during the IPL 2026 auction held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, December 16. The five-time IPL winners spent big money on two young Indian players, Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer, paying ₹14.20 crore for each of them. With this price, both Kartik and Veer have become the most expensive uncapped players ever bought in an IPL auction.

Kartik Sharma is a 19-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman from Rajasthan, known for his aggressive batting. He has played 12 T20 matches so far, scoring 334 runs with a strong strike rate of over 160, including two half-centuries. Prashant Veer, on the other hand, is a 20-year-old left-arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh. He has taken 12 wickets in nine T20 games while bowling economically, and he can also hit quick runs with the bat.

Apart from Indian players, CSK also signed four overseas cricketers in the auction. They bought West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein and New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry for ₹2 crore each. Australian batter Matthew Short joined the team for ₹1.5 crore, while New Zealand all-rounder Zak Foulkes was picked up for ₹75 lakh. Among experienced Indian players, CSK added leg-spinner Rahul Chahar for ₹5.2 crore and middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan for ₹75 lakh, strengthening both their bowling and batting options for the upcoming season.
